A Prayer For December
Lord God Almighty,
We praise You and begin this joyous season of Your love in celebration of the birth of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. How wide, how deep, how long, how high is Your love that You gave Your only begotten Son to wash away our sins, cleanse our hearts, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
We praise You for Your promise of peace through Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, that shines in our troubled minds and hearts. Little by little we are freed from earthly shackles and lifted above our circumstances.
We praise You, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of You, knowing we are being transformed so that Jesus Christ, our Savior, may dwell in our hearts and minds through faith.
Let us not hesitate to praise You and receive Your transforming love. In the name of Jesus, may we rest in Your presence receiving joy beyond measure as your blessings flow freely and abundantly.
As we praise You, let us remember now and always we are blessed to be a blessing, to be salt and light, rooted and established in Your love.
With gratitude and praise we pray in Jesus name,
Amen.
